The alternative & burlesque fair, Autumn preview


It barely seems like a year has passed since the first Alternative & burlesque fair, since it's first Manchester fair it's spread it's glittered heels across the country with a string of new venues added to their calendar.


This Autumn is no exception, with Manchester, Derby & Birmingham fairs in the diary readers in the North West & Midlands are certainly set to be spoilt rotten.


First stop in the diary is Manchester this September 22nd at Sound Control, home to the first fair, The alternative & burlesque fair has certainly been a welcome addition to what was once a repetitive vintage calendar for fairs in the region. Bursting with 3 floors of stalls and all the usual entertainment, you can certainly expect to be teased and tempted inside!

With an array of 50 stalls inside this jam packed September fair, with all the usual alternative variation from the gothic (Madame Dee's, Ashes clothing..), to burlesque (Kiku boutique, Kitty O'Hara), the kitsch (Sugared bones) & so much more! Taking to the stages will be the grand Battle of burlesque with burlesque dharlings performing for a chance in the grand finale, Blush dance studios with pole dancing performances & a fashion show from Eustratia.


At the earlier start time of 11am through until 5pm with £5 entrance.


October then sees The alternative & burlesque fairs debut Derby show on the 13th at The venue. With two shopping zones & a performance stage Derby can certainly expect all the usual trimmings to take place.


With the Battle of burlesque continuing it's run to find more finalists for the grand finale, alongside cabaret performances by Liberty Pink, entertaining shoppers throughout the day. Plus over 40 stalls of alternative traders amongst a vintage tea shop it's certainly set to be a grand debut!


With the like of Betty eX, Alternative Footwear, Deadly Desires & Phoenixx Designs already confirmed amongst the trader stalls. Doors open from 11am - 5pm, £5 entrance.


After their hugely successful Birmingham debut this summer, The alternative & burlesque fair returns to The Birmingham Ballroom on November 24th with a bumper packed 4 shopping zones, 2 performance stages, vintage tea shop & chill out areas. It's certainly going to be a corker! What better an excuse to venture out & take in some alternative christmas shopping and a spot of tease!

Doors open from 12pm - 6pm, £5 entrance.
