Model feature : Rebecca Louise

Rebecca-Louise is an alt artist having turned her hand to modelling alongside her photographic work, exploring a wide range of styles & concepts within her images.

How did you start modelling?

I started through a small shoot for fun with Cat Tunsich Photography about 7 months ago, I got a real taste for it and it went from there, really!

Was it something that you always wanted to do, or did it just 'happen'?

I always wanted to do modelling but I never thought I'd have the chance to do it so I'm glad I did that shoot for fun.

How drew you towards alternative modeling?

I've always been an alternative person, it seemed to go hand in hand with my personality and with my love for piercings, so being an alternative model seemed natural. Plus, I love the alt models that are shown in magazines, their style is simply amazing!

Do you have any fellow models or heroines who have inspired you?

Two fellow models have inspired me a lot - Little Miss Violence and Abi Rose, both from South Wales. I've worked with them both, as a photographer, and the ideas they come out with are incredible. I also really look up to Kat Von D, Amy Lee and Christina Scabbia, as they have such unique styles. Someone else that inspired me a lot is a very good friend of mine, Nicole Gropetis, a photographer from Swansea who has done a few shoots with me and she really helped me develop my ideas into something feasible as I often get carried away!

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future?

I'd love to look at doing more classic alternative, such as punk, 80s glam rock and so on. I also have a penchant for gore and horror shoots so I'll be doing a massive gore shoot this year, hopefully!

What has been your biggest modelling achievement so far?

I'm not sure what my biggest achievement would be so far. Most likely it would be being requested to do an alternative art nude shoot up in London with ThinkFilms as they picked me out of hundreds of women who applied.

How did you discover your paticular interest in alternative fashion?

I discovered it through a lot of shoots, looking at a lot of magazines and just finding the path that seemed most natural to me.

Are there any companies or designers that you'd like to work with?

I'd love to work with Criminal Damage or Attitude Clothing sometime in the future.

What are your goals & aspirations for the future?

My goals & aspirations would be to work with designers in London or New York and make a definitive career out of modelling.
