Model feature : Ms Angi

An alternative model hailing from the U.S, Ms Angi has been dipping her toes in the world of alternative fashion, pin up and promotional modelling whilst also dabbling in a spot of photography.

How did you start modelling? Was it something that you always wanted to do, or did it just 'happen'?

I was always interested in modeling, but always thought I was too short and not skinny enough. Eventually I started getting tattooed and the thought of ever modeling went right out of the window. But once I realized the genre of alternative modeling, my interest came back and I eventually decided to just give it a shot.

What drew you towards alternative modeling?

Since I am heavily tattooed it is really the only option for me. But I love being tattooed, and alternative modeling really fits who I am anyway. I like being able to express myself and share my artwork with other people.

Do you have any fellow models or heroines who have inspired you?

There are a lot of different models that I regularly check out and see what they are up to. Their portfolios help me with my own and they give me ideas for what I should be trying to optain.

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future?

I am trying to get some more pin-up shoots going, and I also have a huge interested in gore modeling with special effects makeup.

What has been your biggest modelling achievement so far?

I think every magazine article I get is an achievement, though I recently had quite a large feature in Ryze-Up Magazine that I was very proud of. I also recently shot with photographer Keith Selle, which was a great experience for me.

How did you discover your particular interest in alternative fashion?

I have had an interest in alternative fashion since high school, I went through the whole "goth phase" and all, lol. My fashion has toned down now that I am older, but I still dress in an alternative style. I have recently modeling clothing for Too Fast Alternative Apparel and 2K2BT and I wear the stuff they sent me on a regular basis...I love it!

Are there any companies or designers that you'd like to work with?

I really want to work with some latex designers and corset designers. I would really love to be able to shoot in those fashions and have not yet had the chance.

What are your goals & aspirations for the future?

I just plan on gaining more experience as a model and hope to work with more and more photographers, publications, and designers. And I thank you guys so much for the interview.
