Model feature : MaryAnn Phetamine

MaryAnn is an alternative model hailing from the U.S, with a vast portfolio of work already under her belt varying from alternative fashion to art.

How did you start modelling? Was it something that you always wanted to do, or did it just 'happen'?

It was always something I had thought about, but I started doing it for a friend helping them build their portfolio for fun.

What drew you towards alternative modeling?

Alternative modeling is so unique compared to the cookie cutter modeling out there. The possibilities are endless. Nothing is taboo.

Do you have any fellow models or heroines who have inspired you?

Absolutely, Alexandra Fische whom I personally think is one of the best Alt Models in the world, my dear friends of many many years Ruby Larocca and Brandy Noir.

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future?

I'm fairly new to it, I'm still a newbie so I want to try a lot of weird and bizarre things that are floating around in my brain, blood and gore, and anything out of the norm.

What has been your biggest modelling achievement so far?

As cheesy or cliche as it may sound, my biggest achievement so far is people actually being a fan of the pictures I shoot. It's a crazy surreal feeling sometimes.

How did you discover your paticular interest in alternative fashion?

Right after I had first started, I was searching the internet for online stores that sold the kind of clothes I usually wore and I came across the models on the specific website I was looking at and I did a lot of research from then on.

Are there any companies or designers that you'd like to work with?

There's a long list of designers I'd love to work with, a lot of latex designers & alternative clothing designers. There's sooo many amazing companies around the states that I'd love to work with, a lot of awesome companies in my area also.

What are your goals & aspirations for the future?

My goals are to bring the creative ideas in my head to life.
