Model feature : Leone P

Leone P is an alternative model with a flair for creative alternative shoots whether it's dolling up as an alt pin up or gore-ing up as a darling zombie!

How did you start modelling? Was it something that you always wanted to do, or did it just 'happen'?

I would be lying if I said that modelling was something I have always wanted to do. When I was younger, modelling to me meant 6ft gorgeous women with the perfect figures and the perfect facial features. That was never going to be me!

So, one day, a hairstylist friend asked me if I wanted to do a vintage photo shoot. She thought I would enjoy it, I never knew just how much I would fall in love with modelling from that point onwards.

I loved being in front of the camera and I felt like a completely different woman. A woman who could be anyone she wanted to be in front of the camera. I felt strong, beautiful and confident!

What drew you towards alternative modeling?

Alternative modelling wasn't a choice I made, it was a must. My tattoos and piercings came before my decision to actively pursue modelling. My love of anything edgy, quirky and dark was always a massive part of me. Alternative modelling gave me the freedom to express myself more openly than I would usually. The beauty of alternative modelling is that you don't have to be tall, slim and perfect. You just have to have a passion for modelling and a passion for the alternative.

Do you have any fellow models or heroines who have inspired you?

Most definitely. I stared to discover them when I started to research alternative modelling. I adore Sabina Kelley! Her arm sleeves are immense and she seems so fun! There is a particular image of her colouring in her arms with coloured pens, it made me smile and I loved her for being so blase about herself.

I met Arabella Drummond at a tattoo convention last year and was blown away by how gorgeous she was! Full of amazing tattoos, clearly very successful and yet so completely sweet and even complimented me on my hair! I remember feeling so honoured that this gorgeous woman had complimented me of all people! Naturally, I have loved her ever since.

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future?

It would be far easier to ask me what I don't want to do if I'm honest.

I have so many ideas but I guess I would be thrilled to do some cosplay as I love dressing up. Ideally I would love to do a shoot as a little sister from Bioshock. I'm a nerd, I know.

I really want to do some latex shoots and some twisted Disney shoots. Think of a Cinderella who didn't get her prince and took it out on the ugly sisters! Dark and edgy.

What has been your biggest modelling achievement so far?

I honestly think my biggest achievement is throwing myself on the radar of some amazing photographers that I have admired from afar. When you admire somebodies work and then find that they want to work with you is unbelievable. A massive confidence boost. I have also loved seeing my confidence and my modelling capabilities grow with each photo shoot I do.

Are there any companies or designers that you'd like to work with?

So many. The top of my list would maybe be Iron Fist. I have been smitten with their shoes ever since I bought my first pair. Their clothes and bags are just as epic. Kinkykex would be another. She is fairly new to the latex industry but her work is awesome. Her designs are truly amazing. What I wouldn't give to have her custom make me outfit for a photo shoot. Check out her work, she is very up and coming.

What are your goals & aspirations for the future?

I would be over the moon to be published in alternative / tattoo magazines. To see my images in a magazine would be more than I could ever have imagined. To read another model mention me in the "Do you have any fellow models or heroines who have inspired you?" section would be really touching. I would also love to be signed with the likes of spirit models. Who knows what the future holds.
