How did you start modelling? Was it something that you always wanted to do, or did it just 'happen'?

It just happened really! I had a photoshoot as a present and after showing the pictures to a few acquaintances in the alternative fashion industry, it was suggested to me and it went from there.

What drew you towards alternative modeling?

I love that there are no set definitions on what is and isn't accepted. What isn't beautiful to one person is completely amazing to another and it seems to be a much more friendly business than the traditional modelling industry. Even though I'm not 18 years old and a size 6, it doesn't matter!

Do you have any fellow models or heroines who have inspired you?

I was really inspired initially by Skyeann Giglio who actually looks pretty conventional until you see her incredible ink and that's how I see myself - fairly 'normal'looking, until I whip out my art work!!! I also love the darker, more sultry looks of Miss Annalieza and Romanie Smith, who seem to master every look they try out.

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future?

I'd love to do some darker, themed shoots, maybe a good halloween one! I'd also love to do more pin-up shoots because they're so much fun!

What has been your biggest modelling achievement so far?

I'm really proud of the fact that I've had some pretty awesome photographers actually contact me to arrange shoots, I really never imagined I'd ever get to work with some of these people so that's a huge personal achievement for me and, who knows where these shoots could take me?!

How did you discover your particular interest in alternative fashion?

I never completely conformed to the norm even when I was a teenager. I didn't go as far as having a real defined alternative look but I always did my own thing and never really felt as though I wanted to follow mainstream fashion. But now I love wearing what ever I feel comfortable in, be it pin-up inspired fashion or t-shirts from small street labels, so it's never been a conscious decision to be alternative, more of a feeling that has evolved over time and continues to develop.

Are there any companies or designers that you'd like to work with?

I'm in the process of collaborating with CRMC in Edinburgh, who do some great, limited edition pieces. Other than that, I'd love to work with a pin up brand so I can wear lots of gorgeous girly outfits!

What are your goals & aspirations for the future?

I'm at a stage in my life where my family, especially my little girl, are the most important things in my world so they are my main focus. But, to give them the best of me, I need to be myself and I love modelling. So, I'm going to continue to build on my portfolio and see where my modelling takes me - I'd love to get a cover eventually, I think that's my ambition right now!!!
