I grabbed a pot of the 'light pink' colour supplement to put to the test.
The foundation itself a nice light smooth mix, easy to dip into in the pot form (when compared to usual tube foundations). There's no specific way with which to apply the foundation; you can apply it as preferred. But I found that the overall tone and complexion was a lot smoother when using a make up sponge (you can easily grab a wedge of sponges from most cosmetic retailers, or chemists for under £3), I noticed that the finished look was much more even afterwards.
I tried it both with & without moisturiser. When mixed with moisturiser I noticed that again the look was a lot smoother overall, and there wasn't any dreaded dry patches after a couple of hours (which you can sometimes get more so in the winter). To do this I simply took a small blob of the foundation, & a blob of my moisturiser which I mixed together on the back of my hand to apply.
It's incredibly light to wear too. It's also a rather good light shade, for those of us with paler complexions it can be rather hard to find a good light foundation that's not orangey but this blends rather nicely.
It's now been integrated as my daily foundation of choice. I'm looking forward to seeing if yet more B never favourite's make their way over to Lush.
