Limecrime

Lime Crime is a make up company with a delightful difference. A company with the tag so bright it's illegal; their collections comprise of wonderfully bright colours.

Created by Doe Deere, already infamous for her make up tutorials on her blog; Lime Crime began as her technicolour dream with a range of highly pigmented eye shadows; and more recently they expanded with the launch of their Candyfuture collection; a range of daring and bright lip sticks.

When the Candyfuture lipstick collection was unveiled in October I was already eager to get my hands on a tube seeing the ranges of lilacs, pinks, reds & blues amongst the collection.

A few months later I decided to treat myself to a couple of items from Lime Crime's ranges and it was more than worth the wait for the package of goodies in the post all the way from the U.S.

I picked up one of each range; a tube of Candy future lipstick, and a tub of Magic dust.

Cleopatra magic dust I picked up a tub of this coppery orange magic dust with a sparkly sheen. It comes in it's own little pot (twice the size of your regular Barry m dazzle dust pots!) and packs quite a colourful punch for your buck!

Being a loose pigmented dust this can be applied both wet & dry; the results being stunning and remarkably different for each application. Dry it creates a stunning delicate but vibrant sheen; wet it creates a powerful and striking look.

I've long been a fan of loose powder eye shadows for the versatility they provide, and this is an amazing little jar of magic dust.

Retrofuturist lip stick I picked up this pin up pillar box red shade from the collection. Torn between so many shades, I choose the stunning red that had been on my wish list for the past few months.

Firstly the package is astounding! The bullet shaped pink tube comes with a darling sparkly unicorn packaging, the perfect tube to pull out of your bag on the train to astonished looks!

The lipstick is a rich creamy highly pigmented formula, most cosmetics companies will focus more on creating a shiny after look whilst sparing on the pigment, something which has long stopped me from buying lipsticks being mostly disappointed by how dull the colour is when worn compared to how cute it looks in the tube, but this goes on perfectly; it's as vibrant in the tube as it is when worn.

It's wonderfully long lasting too, and even survived my morning tea drinking ritual!

I can't wait to see the new collection when the new shades are unveiled, I'm already plotting my next purchase with the vibrant orange My beautiful rocket, & gothique black Styletto shades high on my wish list.

And the good news is that Lime Crime will be reaching the shores this year with a UK stockist to be announced, you won't have to wait too long to be able to pick up a tube near you!

If you can't wait that long, or you'd like to pick your selection online you can shop online & find out more at: www.limecrimemakeup.com - Update March 2015 - following the recent security issues with Lime Crime's site, we advise our readers to take care when purchasing directly, alternatively you can find a list of stockists for their cosmetics on their site.
