Indie kids
not to be confused with those into most of the laddish britpop 'associated' bands.
The supposedly shy fop-haired individuals who listen to music more along the lines of old indie dharlings such as Pulp, Idlewild & Elastica alongside current indie bands from Franz ferdinand, to yeah yeah yeahs.

Indie as a style is not to be confused with those who only stick to independant-non corporate labels.
Whilst indie kid's do tend to stick to dressing individually & more unique, that doesn't mean they stick to the most obscure brands clothing-wise; even if their music collection may state otherwise.

Most indie kids tend to take influences from bands as a foremost starting point alongside more retro & vintage items showing a mis-match of influences from 70's-80's styled items.

From vintage tee's, cord flares, band tee's, vintage shirts & cutesy accessories.
You are of course more likely to find an indie kid in the back of a charity shop or vintage clothing shop rummaging out a unique item, alongside any unusual independant clothing shop.

Most indie kid's do tend to stick to the vintage look with some leaning towards the more manics influenced style with lots of leopardprint items, glitter & the obligitory babycham & plastic tiaras. Of course it is closer to a glam look than indie but minus the spandex & big hair!
