Blood & dishonour - Nigel Wingrove
"Gothic & Lolita" Masayuki Yoshinaga & Katsuhiko Ishikawa.

In a similar vein to the "Fruits" books; Gothic & lolita takes a look at the wide range of gothic & lolita outfits worn on the streets of Japan. Showing an "alternative version of the gothic & lolita sensibility".
This book is a collection of photographs by Masayuki Yoshinaga, documenting the outfits & looks around Japan today in the gothic & lolita style.
You can see how influences from the UK goth scene in the 80's has hugely shaped the scene the Japan as well as the Victorian sensibilities that influence the lolita look.

culture to create something far different to the current UK goth scene & incredibly awe inspiring.
Throughout there are images from various clubs, streets & even peoples homes, showing an incredible spectrum of styles. From vintage attire, alice in wonderland esque outfits, burlesque, fetish, traditional japanese attire & cyber; an incredible variation under the term.
Those already into the "Fruits" series will find this as another insight into Japan's street style as well as those into the goth scene for a different approach & perspective.
