Cyber
The exact 'origins' of the term 'cyber' aren't exactly known, depending on where you look some would state it's referring to rpg others would state it goes back to 'cyberpunk'. The cyber(goth) style as a fashion does appear to have come about in the 90's. Taking influence from rave & goth culture at that time.

Cyber(goth) as a fashion consists of uv reactive clothing, jewellery & make up, fake hair from dreads to rexlace to foam, huge platform shoes, goggles, the occasional computer-ised accessory, medical accessories. Your probably gettting the gist of it by now.
Cyber(goth) is a combination of cyber stylings such as technology meeting goth elements.
You can certainly see the technology side more, especally through music associated with the style. Mostly electronic from ebm (electronic body music), industrial, futurepop & noise.
You'll most likely be more aware of bands such as Vnv nation, Covenant, Razed in black & Suicide commando.

You can find all manners of clubs & events even associated with the style from Implant to fights the robots to Intelekt all catering for the more 'electronic' side of goth culture.
It's not all about the music but it's a key part. Of course not forgetting your glow sticks & poi which are an adopted part of the culture.

For newcomers looking to get into the style you can't go wrong by starting off at some more well known clothing shops.
Shops such as Cyberdog & Plastik wrap are probably the most well known & longest running shops catering for the style.
You can find other shops from Spank to Span as well as a plenthora of sites catering for fake hair from simple synthetic falls to over the top foam & crin falls (check the fake hair & categories in the links section).
