Entering the hustle & bustle of London is always going to be a slight culture shock for those more used to the quiet run up north, but I certainly wasn't expecting it to be just this busy...

Entering the picturesque streets of Islington towards Clerkenwell for this wintery afternoon's vintage fair I'm greeted with a baffling bus queue of epic proportions; oh if only one wasn't so naïve! I knew that Clerkenwell's vintage fair's were a well loved annual event, but well into this Sunday afternoon it's already teaming with plenty of keen fair goers.

Entering the busy town hall, it's easy to see why it's such a popular event. A larger scale than I'm used to from the north's regular vintage fairs; the Clerkenwell vintage fair features not just a tea room, but a pop up salon & several rooms bursting to the brim

with vintage clothing, homewares, jewellery, & pieces by vintage inspired modern day designers. Everything from stunning millinery, quaint tea sets, costume jewellery, & vintage frocks.

It's a treasure trove of delightful finds, whether you favour the vintage lifestyle, or it's classic understaded style that you prefer; there's plenty of eye candy and unique pieces across the fair that'll take your fancy.

With the late lunch rush it's certainly recommended to get there much earlier at the start of the fair, especially to find those designer gems; and with the pop up tea vintage salon, & adjacent tea room, you can easily make an afternoon's outing at the fair.

The Clerkenwell vintage fair is held at The urdang, The old Finsbury town hall, Rosebery avenue, London; entrance starts from £4. Which is accessible from both Angel & Farringdon tube stations. The next fair dates are March 13th, May 8th, & June 26th.
