Fashion was never my forte. In fact growing up I would have a single outfit that I would wear until threadbare and demanded another just like it when my mother insisted on throwing it out. Fashion was never my forte, until that is I discovered goth. Being quite a romantic and imaginative sort I just couldn’t stomach the mundane attire that we were given to wear. But when I discovered that should I choose, swathes of flowing fabrics and lace could make up my daily wardrobe – it was then I got hooked on fashion. Alternative fashion. Since then it has become a passion of mine, from the DIY and charity shop bargains to the unique designs of alternative couture and every level in between.
We didn’t get to choose what skin we were born into, but through adornment we can create what we were meant to be. I love having the opportunity to share this choice, which is why I entered into journalism specializing in fashion.
Along with writing, I studied Marketing and have a day job as a Marketing Manager. Although that keeps me pretty busy I still insist on indulging in modeling, promoting, and web design in my spare time - all in an aim to give back to the scene I adore and spend my creative talents in the ways I love the most.
